Plastic Surgery - An art of Manipulating the Ugly Faces Plastic Surgery is the process of repairing and restoring parts of the human body either for functional or aesthetic purposes. The term is derived from a Greek word that means 'to shape'. Plastic surgery does not refer to the use of plastic as a material in the surgical process. There are different disciplines that fall under the umbrella of plastic surgery. They are broadly divided into two major parts called Reconstructive Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery.
